Join us for a workshop

Workshops are scheduled to provide focused information about basic photo skills, software use, and topics such as night photography, maco images, landscapes and similar. Workshops usually are free or low cost.

Workshops are open to anyone interested in photography. But if you are not a member of Fort Worth Camera Club, consider joining. Explore this website to learn more about membership benefits; annual dues are collected each January and are half-price after July 1.

View this page and our Facebook page to learn about workshops. If you have an idea for a topic, please contact John Nixon.

Note that dates are different than those previously published. September, October and November workshops are now on Tuesdays.

Sept. 25 and Nov. 6: All about Lightroom

Club president Roy O’Rear will lead two classes about Lightroom use.

The September session will importing images, entering key words, collections, setting up preferences and basic processing.

Practice those Lightroom skills, and then return to the classroom on Tuesday, Nov. 8 to learn more from Roy: using advanced tools, straightening the horizon, masking techniques with the various tools, snapshots, using plugins, and other fun stuff that makes the software popular.

It is not required, but it will be helpful to bring a laptop with Lightroom installed.

Both free classes will be at our usual location, UNT Health Science Center, 3500 Camp Bowie, Medical Education and Training Building 2, Room 100.

  • Lightroom Basics – 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 25
  • Lightroom Advanced – 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 6
